Boeing Dreamlifter Delivers Face Masks to Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport

Dennis Corporation was selected by McCarthy Improvement Company, the prime contractor, to provide all construction staking and as-builts for the Greenville-Spartanburg Airport’s New Cargo Area Development. Unveiled in September 2019, the new $33 million commercial cargo facility, will increase air-freight business for the airport. The airport had outgrown its 20,000 square foot warehouse, which necessitated an expansion. The airport began to clear land in 2018 for the new 110,000 square foot warehouse. In addition to the new cargo facility, a 17-acre concrete apron was also constructed. This apron is wide enough to park three Boeing 747’s side-by-side.

McSwain Armfield, PE presents a plan to improve the infrastructure of the Town of Kingstree

On February 18th, Project Manager McSwain Armfield presented a plan to the Kingstree Town Council to address pipes, water backups and the canal formerly known as Kingstree Branch. The canal, which Williamsburg County and the Town of Kingstree, are held jointly responsible for has been plagued with flooding issues for decades. Armfield made a recommendation to make the canal a top priority. “Rehab the canal first,” said Armfield. “That’s going to be the biggest bang for your buck, the biggest value and improve the highest number of trouble spots”.

Dennis Corporation- 2018 Workforce Innovator Award

Dennis Corporation was recently awarded the 2018 Workforce Innovator Award for a Small Company by the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce. The award represents top innovation in South Carolina’s workforce development sector. Mr. Matt Hines, PE accepted the award on behalf of Dennis Corporation during the Workforce Development Symposium held in Columbia, South Carolina on October 29 and 30, 2018. Mr. Hines participated in a panel during the Workforce Development Symposium. The panel included Jeff Moore from Volvo Car US Operations, Inc., and John Davey from MAU Workforce Solutions. Volvo was honored for the Medium Company category, and MAU was awarded for the Large Company category of the 2018 Workforce Innovator Award.
