Dennis Corporation Stands with South Carolina

DC Stands with SCHurricane Joaquin may not have made landfall, but the effects of the category 5 hurricane were felt all over the Carolinas. South Carolina was hit hard with over 24 inches of rain. The Weather Channel is calling it one of the most prolific rainfall events in modern history. The amount of water that fell in South Carolina was enough for 1.2 million gallons for every person in the state.

Dennis Corporation headquarters are within a quarter mile of the Congaree River at 1800 Huger Street in downtown Columbia. We share in the loss Columbia and all of South Carolina is currently facing. The day after the flooding our offices were open to aid clients in engineering and structural integrity complications. Our employees came out in force to answer all calls and make every effort to help using our extensive background and knowledge.

Many South Carolina residents are not able to leave their neighborhoods due to crumbling roads and infrastructure. Our long lived working relationship with the South Carolina Department of Transportation will help expedite any assistance we can provide.

Dennis Corporation has called Columbia home for over 10 years and is invested in the community. For more information on how to volunteer please visit RedCross.org/SC and click on “Volunteer” to start the application process.

As conditions improve and recovery efforts continue – Dennis’ thoughts and prayers are with our fellow neighbors as we push forward through these difficult times.
