Dennis Corporation is proud to announce that Mr. Morgan “Mo” Denny has accepted the position of Chief Financial Officer for Dennis Corporation and will begin working with for the firm on June 8th.

Mr. Denny’s background includes 26 years of service with the United States Army. He culminated his career with the Army as the Chief Financial Officer for the Army National Guard where he successfully managed a $5.5 billion budget to maximize readiness for 2,000 Army Guard units in 54 States and territories.

When he retired from the Army, he moved south and was appointed by Governor Beasley to serve as the Deputy Director of Social Services for the South Carolina Department of Social Services. Throughout his tenure as Deputy Director, Mr. Denny managed and directed all support services including the agency budget, cost allocation, accounting, payroll, accounts payable, and property management, among others.

From there, Mr. Denny went on to serve as a Senior Financial Analyst for Parson’s Brinckerhoff, one of the world’s leading planning, engineering, and program and construction management organizations. Among his biggest accomplishments with Parson’s Brinckerhoff is his work with the South

Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) where he acted as the primary financial consultant on the Construction and Resource Management (CRM) contract to accelerate road and bridge projects, including the new Copper River Bridge in Charleston, SC.

Mr. Denny recently served as a Financial Manager at the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) where he was involved in all the financial operations and decisions throughout the last 7 years.

Mr. Denny, and wife Linda (Lyn), have three sons and four grandchildren. He is an active member at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Columbia and a member, and former president, of the Retired Army Finance Officers Association. In addition, Mr. Denny is the owner of Spring Valley Bruster’s Ice Cream in northeast Columbia.
