Dennis Corporation is proud to be a bronze sponsor of The Pink Posse in their goal of raising $20,000 for breast cancer awareness. Their fundraising is in honor of the Palmetto Health Foundation’s Walk for Life/5K Race for Life, which will be held on October 2, 2010.
The Pink Posse, which is comprised of 12 breast cancer survivors, was founded May 29, 2008 by Bren Miller, a 3 year breast cancer survivor. Their goal is to support and encourage others who have been affected by breast cancer by remaining positive and creating awareness to help fight for a cure.
Now in its 20th year, The Palmetto Health Foundations Walk for Life/5K Race for Life helps to increase awareness and raise money for the Palmetto Health Breast Center. The Pink Posse Team will be participating in this honorable event and will also be hosting a “Palooza with a Purpose” Friday, September 24 from 7:30 pm to midnight at the Dogwood Creek Park in Lexington, South Carolina. This event will include a BBQ dinner, live music, dancing, and a live auction. Tickets are $40 per person and are available at the Palmetto Health Breast Center, Dems Fine Jewelers, and at Tera’s Merle Norman. In addition to this event, The Pink Posse is also selling custom designed beads available at Dems Fine Jewelers to help in reaching their goal of $20,000.
