Dennis Corporation was proud to be a Platinum sponsor for the Annual Benefit and Auction for Family Connection of South Carolina. The event was held Sunday, April 18, 2010 at 6:00 pm at the Saluda River Club – Chickawa Outdoor Center in Lexington, South Carolina.
The Benefit included a silent auction with vacations, restaurant packages, artwork, tickets, and many other prizes for auction. The event also included Hors d’oeuvres by Blue Marlin along with cocktails and live music.
Family Connection of South Carolina is an organization focused on helping children with special needs and their families. The organization was created in 1989 and currently has 562 active volunteers throughout the state. Family Connection offers partner programs, neonatal intensive care unit support, communication workshops, social events, support groups, educational programs, as well as a number of projects and conferences families can participate in.
Dennis Corporation is proud to have sponsored and supported Family Connection of South Carolina and their mission of “Every child with special needs will reach their full potential.” Dennis Corporation employee Kelly Tam said, “Family Connection is such a valuable support tool for the families of children with disabilities and special needs. In 2009, Dan Dennis, Dennis Corporation President, his wife Esther and their daughter Millie, who was diagnosed with Mosaic Down Syndrome, were featured on the cover and throughout a publication that Family Connection distributes to parents of children with special needs.
Since 1990, Family Connection has assisted over 25,000 families to receive support and advice from other parents and families. Dennis Corporation has been a long time supporter and sponsor of Family Connection and will continue to support this worthwhile organization while helping spread their mission and values.
