Columbia, SC – Dennis Corporation is honored to announce that it has been selected as the winner of the 2010 Construction Management Association of America’s Project Achievement Award. Dennis Corporation won this award in the Buildings, Renovation/Modernization category for projects with constructed value of less than $15 million for their construction management of the Richland County Township Auditorium Renovations.

Receiving over 130 entries for the competition this year, the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) awarded winners in 15 categories. The selected projects signify the best and most innovative construction management projects and programs of the year. To be eligible, the projects had to be completed between June 12, 2009 and June 11, 2010. The final 15 winners were announced during the Association’s Industry Recognition Banquet on Tuesday, October 5th at the National Conference and Trade Show in San Diego, CA.

Since 1999, CMAA has presented these awards to projects exemplifying the contributions of professional construction and program management to the successful completion of a challenging project or program. The Project Achievement Awards are grouped into buildings and infrastructure, new construction and renovation across several budget size ranges, as well as program management honors for buildings and infrastructure and an international award.

“Congratulations to our standout projects. The number and quality of projects that were submitted this year sets the bar very high for what is expected to yield a successful project,” Judges Mark Ballard, PE, and Brian Koches, CCM concurred.

Dennis Corporation received this prestigious award for the construction management of the Township Auditorium Renovations. Dennis Corporation served as the Construction Manager to the General Manager of Facilities and Grounds of Richland County, SC for the major renovation and expansion of the historic Township Auditorium in Columbia, South Carolina.
