Mr. Dan Dennis, President of Dennis Corporation, spoke recently with Newberry College business majors on Thursday, March 3rd. With more than 50 students in attendance, Mr. Dennis offered the students general business advice and spoke with them about what to expect as they enter the job market.
The event began with Mr. Dennis speaking to the students and ended with a question-and-answer session. Ross Travis, PE, Building Construction Manager; Frank Hribar, Construction Manager; and Newberry College graduate, Monica Scott, Director of Marketing, were there to answer questions as well. After the event was formally over, Mr. Dennis made himself available to the students to answer questions in a more relaxed, casual environment. In speaking with the students at Newberry College, it was his hope to attract young, ambitious talent to Dennis Corporation and potentially find candidates for the company’s internship program. After the speech, Mr. Dennis and his employees took a brief tour of Newberry College.
