Dennis Corporation participated in the annual Blythewood Christmas parade on December 12, 2010. The parade is usually held the second Sunday of December every year.
The tradition of the Blythewood Christmas parade began in 1995 when Billy and Carolyn Raines wanted a way to thank their community for the continuous support they showed Carolyn when she was diagnosed with lupus. The parade, which started at the fire station on Main Street and ended at the post office, had only 15 people participate.
Today, the parade is funded by sponsors and the Greater Blythewood Chamber of Commerce and their members. Any remaining donations are given to the Chamber’s scholarship fund.
Mark Johnston, IT Manager, drove his truck in the parade with Dennis Corporation employees and his family. The truck was adorned with Christmas decorations, including garland, a wreath and an inflatable snowman. Dennis Corporation is proud to support the communities in which it works.
