On Thursday, May 6, 2010, Dennis Corporation employees reached another pivotal point of success by celebrating the grand opening of their new corporate office on 1800 Huger Street in Columbia, SC.
Over four hundred clients, community members, families and friends attended the highly anticipated event with many coming from across the state to celebrate this new milestone. Dennis Corporation has 120 employees and is engaged in many projects throughout South Carolina.
Five year old Millie Dennis, the daughter of Dan Dennis, the President of Dennis Corporation, cut the ribbon during the ribbon cutting ceremony to dedicate the new building. Dennis Corporation was started around the same time that Millie was born, making the day a large significance in her young life as well.
In addition to the ribbon cutting ceremony, the event included tours of the new facility for the guests provided by Dennis Corporation employees and an outdoor reception featuring heavy hors d’oeurves and drinks. Additionally, Three Cuz’ins, a competitive BBQ team that Dennis Corporation sponsors, prepared BBQ and ribs for the guests to enjoy. Also during the reception, the Double Dutch Forces, the City of Columbia’s internationally recognized double dutch team, entertained guests.
