Dennis Corporation announced their new implementation of a key employee stock ownership plan available to eligible employees. Granting employees the opportunity to own a part of the company is monumental for the firm and demonstrates its commitment to correlating one’s performance with that of the company’s. The timing of this announcement aligns perfectly with the success of the business, especially with Dennis Corporation experiencing one of its best years financially, despite the difficult economic climate. Managed by Elliot Davis and McNair Attorneys, the stock ownership plan will be available to employees this year.
The stock ownership plan will consist of 100,000 shares of nonvoting common stock available to a selected group of employees based on their performance within the firm and chosen by the Dennis Corporation Board of Directors. The company will not be going public and shares cannot be transferable to third parties; rather this is an opportunity for employees to own a vested interest in the company they have helped to create for years to come.
Beth Fleming, Controller of Dennis Corporation who will also be assisting in the implementation of the plan stated, “The stock ownership plan is Dennis Corporation’s way of retaining the best and brightest minds of the firm, whether managers or associates, by giving them the opportunity to own a portion of the company that they have contributed to making into the success it is today.”
The following pages are an in-depth explanation of the stock ownership plan that was also made available to all employees for their review and consideration, if eligible.
