Dennis Corporation is rapidly growing and we are proud to announce that a number of our employees have been promoted. Our firm is one of the largest South Carolina locally owned and operated firms specializing in Engineering, Surveying, and Construction Management. Having opened doors over twelve years ago, we take pride in serving our South Carolina clients with South Carolina employees.

Transportation Engineering Manager Matt Hines, PE has been promoted to Engineering Manager. He will manage the Civil, Transportation, and Structural divisions by overseeing project development with the respective Division Managers as well as focusing on future efforts and direction. “Matt Hines has been a key part of our success, and we are thrilled to promote him to this important position,” said Dan Dennis, President of Dennis Corporation. Matt Hines joined Dennis Corporation as an intern while studying Civil Engineering at the University of South Carolina.

With Matt Hines, PE taking on a larger role within the company, Dennis Corporation is promoting McSwain Armfield, PE to Assistant Manager for Civil Infrastructure and Jason Outlaw, PE to Assistant Manager for Transportation Engineering. Mr. Armfield and Mr. Outlaw have proven to be leaders in the company. Their experience and drive has cultivated a genuine motivation to provide value through engineering and developing creative solutions to our clients’ projects. “Jason and McSwain are both team players with an unshakable grasp of the proper procedures and protocols for design,” said Matt Hines. “They also possess a common sense approach to effectively manage projects from start to finish finding ways to save our clients time and money.” Dennis Corporation is enthusiastic about the growth in our Engineering Department and we are happy to have such talented engineers ready to take on their new roles.

Bradley Randolph, EIT joined Dennis Corporation in the Construction Management Division. He graduated from the University of South Carolina with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and found his passion in construction. His resourcefulness on job sites and his experience handling large scale projects made him an employee to watch. “Bradley is great to work with, he brings a level of enthusiasm to every project,” says Ricky Craps. Starting in February 2018, we are excited to announce that Bradley Randolph will be managing our Mt. Pleasant office as Construction Manager and Resident Engineering Manager. His responsibilities will include providing construction management services for the Tri-County area.

Joining Bradley Randolph, EIT in Mt. Pleasant is Andrew Wilson from our Transportation Engineering division. Andrew Wilson graduated from The Citadel and came to Dennis Corporation where he trained under Matt Hines, PE and Dan Dennis, PE, PLS. “I enjoyed designing roadway and transportation projects at Dennis Corporation, but one day they needed help in the field and I loved seeing that side of construction. We were inspecting the materials on a roadway I had designed, and it made the process real to me,” said Andrew Wilson. He will assist with construction engineering and inspections (CEI).

President Dan Dennis saw the need for Vibration Monitoring services on large construction projects throughout the state. Therefore, in 2016, the company created a new division with the Construction Management department led by Ricky Craps. Dennis Corporation invested in the latest technology, equipment, and professional training – but our best investment was hiring Frank Whitaker. Under his leadership and commitment to providing our clients with excellent service, the division has grown. Now we are proud to announce that Frank Whitaker has agreed to manage Dennis Corporation’s Building Project Management division. His experience in construction and his capacity to take a project from start to finish make him a welcome addition to the company’s Management Team.

Dennis Corporation believes in promoting from within. It’s important to us to identify talent and purposefully shape the future of our firm through proper training and hands-on experience with a variety of project types. Congratulations to all of these employees.
